Watershed Resource Center Field Trips
Grades K-12

Students learn about local watersheds and how to protect them. Lessons focus on understanding watersheds, where water goes, sources of water pollution, solutions to pollution, and the effect of plastic debris on ocean food webs. Activities include using hands-on models to understand watersheds and how pollutants travel, and taking action with a beach clean-up.

Creek Kids Series
Grades 4-6

This series consists of two in-class lessons and a half-day
field trip to a local creek and the Watershed Resource Center. Students participate in hands-on activities to learn about watersheds, where water goes, the physical and biological components of creeks, the dangers of plastic in the ocean, sources of water pollution, solutions to pollution, and what students can do to improve water quality.
