Benefiting Art From Scrap’s art and environmental education programs

The assemblage theme of our annual fundraising event fits with Art From Scrap’s overall environmental mission, which includes encouraging people to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Each year participating artists start with a designated item – in the past a cigar box, book, and metal film tin – and incorporates treasures from Art From Scrap, as well as scraps from each artist’s own collection, transforming them into a work of art.

Held each year at the AFS Gallery, the event features an auction and entertainment. The public is encouraged to view the artwork that is displayed throughout the month leading up to the event, and to make bids on the silent auction items.
